This session is part of NAHEWD's national webinar series Bridging HIV and SUD: Innovations in the Field. The series will highlight various innovative models and approaches to treating substance use disorder (SUD) in people at risk for and living with HIV.
This webinar will provide an overview of the SHRPS syringe and harm reduction program from inception through the current iteration. The use of data, mapping, and community partnerships will be highlighted to provide comprehensive support and services.
1. Demonstrate challenges faced by rural harm reduction programs and those who use drugs in these areas.
2. Provide examples of how harm reduction and syringe services are able to utilize technology and partnerships to expand services and resources.
